Add Existing Domain

In case you already own a domain name from a third-party provider, such as BigRock or GoDaddy, you can use it for your Justdial online store so customers who type your website URL into their browsers end up on your site. You can configure your domain to work with us.


Note
These changes need to be made on your domain provider’s website, and NOT in your account with us

Step 1.
Click on Configure New Domain on the homepage.

The following page will be displayed

Step 2.
Click on Add Existing Domain. The following page will be displayed.

Step 3.
Enter the domain name which you want for your website in the Domain Details field. Retype the name again in the Retype Domain Name field.

Step 4.
Once the domain name has been accepted, click on the Confirm from the right-bottom corner of the page.

Step 1.
Click on the Customize Website from the Homepage.

Step 2.
Click on More and then click on Domains .

The following page will be displayed

Step 3.
Click on Add Existing Domain, you will be directed to the following page.

Step 4.
Enter the domain name which you want for your website in the Domain Details field. Retype the name again in the Retype Domain Name field.

Step 5.
Once the domain name has been accepted, click on Confirm. The following page will be displayed.

GoDaddy

In case you already have an existing domain with GoDaddy, you would have to make a few changes in the DNS settings to correctly redirect traffic.

You need to follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Access your DNS settings.
2. Delete any existing records
3. Add records

1. Access your DNS settings

To access your DNS settings, you will have to first go to your domain provider’s website, and log into your account.

Step 1.
Enter https://in.godaddy.com in your browser, and click on the Sign In button.

Step 2.
Enter your username and password and click on the Login button.

Step 3.
On successful login,MY PRODUCTS page will be displayed.

Step 4.
In the DOMAINS section, click on the Manage button.

Step 5.
A page with all your domains will now be visible on the new page. Click on the domain name of your store’s website.

Step 6.
The DOMAIN DETAILS page will be displayed.

Step 7.
In the DOMAIN DETAILS page, click on the DNS ZONE FILE tab.

2. Delete any existing records

Once you are in the DNS ZONE FILE tab, you would need to delete any records already present for your domain name.

Step 1.
For the first record, click on the 13

In the red notification that appears, click on the Save Changes icon to confirm.

Note
Follow these steps for all records present for your domain name, until there are no records present.

3. Add records

For customers to reach your website, you would have to direct each of them to your account’s IP address. For this, you would need to add two records. Once you have deleted all existing records in the DNS ZONE FILE tab,you would need to first add an A Record and second, a CNAME Record.

Step 1.
Click on the Add Record link.

Step 2.
In the ADD ZONE RECORD modal that appears, click on the down arrow for the Select Record… option.

Step 3.
From the list of options, select the A (Host) option.

Step 4.
In the blank fields, perform the following actions

  • Enter @ in the HOST field.
  • Enter 103.20.127.61 in the POINTS TO field.
  • Select 1/2 Hour in the TTL dropdown.

Once filled, the page should look as follows:

Click on the FINISH button to add the A Record.

Step 5.
Once again, click on the Add Record link.

Step 6.
From the list of options, select the CNAME (Alias) option.

Step 7.
In the blank fields, perform the following actions:

  • Enter www in the HOST field.
  • Enter @ in the POINTS TO field.
  • Select 1/2 Hour in the TTL dropdown.

Once filled, the page should look as follows:

Click on the FINISH button to add the CNAME Record.

Congratulations! You have now added an A Record and a CNAME Record and these will be activated in a time period of 4 hours. After that, all customers searching for myshop.com or www.myshop.com will reach your website automatically.
On successful addition of the domain name, and the configuration, your customers can now visit your webstore at the new URL. Also, the next time you click on the Online Store option from the left menu, you will be taken to your webstore on this new URL.


Business Emails
Once your domain has been registered, you can also purchase email accounts for your store. These emails can be used for notifications purposes, communications and feedback from your customers, communication to/between staff members, and other purposes.
At the bottom of the screen, you will see the following information:

BigRock

In case you already have an existing domain with GoDaddy, you would have to make a few changes in the DNS settings to correctly redirect traffic.

You need to follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Access your DNS settings.
2. Delete any existing records
3. Add records

1. Access your DNS settings

To access your DNS settings, you will have to first go to your domain provider’s website, and log into your account.

Step 1.
Enter www.bigrock.in in your browser, and click on the Login/SignUp button from the top right corner.

Step 2.
Enter your registered email address and password and click on the Login button.

Step 3.
From the List of Orders, click on the domain name of your store.

Step 4.
Scroll down to the DNS Management section, and click on the Manage DNS link.

2. Delete any existing records

Once you have clicked on the Manage DNS button for your domain, you would need to delete any A records already present for your domain name.

Step 1.
Click on the first A Record present.

Step 2.
In the new screen that opens up, click on the Delete Record button.


Note

Follow these steps for all A records present for your domain name, until there are no records present.

3. Add records

For customers to reach your website, you would have to direct each of them to your account’s IP address. For that, you would need to add two A Records.

Step 1.
Once you have clicked on the Manage DNS button for your domain , you will land in the A Records section.

Step 2.
Click on the Add A Record button to proceed.

In the next window, perform the following actions:

  • Leave Host Name as blank.
  • Enter 103.20.127.61 in the Destination IPv4 Address field. 
  • Enter 7200 in the TTL field. 

Once filled, the page should look as follows:

Click on the Add Record button to add the A Record.

Step 4.
Once again, click on the Add A Record button.

Step 5.
In the next window, perform the following actions:

  • Enter www in the Host Name field.
  • Enter 103.20.127.61 in the Destination IPv4 Address field. 
  • Enter 7200 in the TTL field. 

Once filled, the page should look as follows:

Click on the Add Record button to add the A Record.

Congratulations. You have now added two A Records and these will be activated in a time period of 4 hours. After that, all customers searching for myshop.com or www.myshop.com will reach your website automatically.

On successful addition of the domain name, and the configuration, your customers can now visit your webstore at the new URL. Also, the next time you click on the Online Store option from the left menu, you will be taken to your webstore on this new URL.

Net 4 India

In case you already have an existing domain with Net4, you would have to make a few changes in the DNS settings to correctly redirect the emails.
You need to follow the below mentioned steps.

1. Access your DNS settings

Step 1.
Enter www.net4.com in your browser, and click on the Login/Sign up button from the top right corner.

Enter your registered email address/CRN ID and password and click on the Login button.

In My Orders section click on the domain name you wish to configure.

In Manage My Services page click DNS Setting.

In DNS setting page scroll down and change the TTL to 7200 and click Modify.

Step 6.
Change both the records from IP to 103.20.127.61 and click on Save Changes.

Other Domain Providers

Step 1.
You need to login to your domain provider to complete the domain name setup.

Step 2.
For other domain providers, in domain zone editor, configure the following settings:

Important Note
Make sure the Name Server is default.

ZNetLive

In case you already have an existing domain with ZNetLive , you would have to make a few changes in the DNS settings to correctly redirect traffic.

1. Access your DNS settings

Step 1.
Enter www.znetlive.com in your browser, and click on the Login/Sign up button from the top right corner.

 

Step 2.
Enter your registered email address and password and click on the Login button.

Step 3.
Click on the Welcome Username option drop-down from the header.

Step 4.
Click on the Manage Your Domain option from the list.

Step 5.
From the page that opens up click on the domain name.

Step 6.
Next click on DNS management option present in the left panel.

In the next window, perform the following actions:
  • Leave Host Name as blank.
  • Enter 103.20.127.61 in the Destination IPv4 Address field.
  • Enter 7200 in the TTL field.

Once filled, the page should look as follows:

Step 7.
Click on Edit Record to save the entries.

Step 8.
Once again, you need to add one more record.

Step 9.
In the next window, perform the following actions:

  • Enter www in the Host Name field.
  • Enter 103.20.127.61 in the Destination IPv4 Address field.
  • Enter 7200 in the TTL field.
Once filled, the page should look as follows:

Step 10.
Click on Edit Record to save the entries.
